In pursuit of making stuff…
My journey into video editing began at the age of 10, making videos with my brothers—small projects that made us laugh but sparked a deep passion for storytelling. I was immediately obsessed with the creative possibilities, experimenting with cuts, music, and effects to bring ideas to life. That passion only grew, leading me to pursue a degree in film production at the University of Colorado and ultimately turn my love for editing into a full-time career.
Beyond the edit bay, my creativity extends into music and design. I write and produce music under the name Past People, a project rooted in nostalgia for the forgotten and overlooked. Inspired by my time in film school, where I played music over silent films to enhance the experience, Past People embodies my fascination with revisiting and reimagining the past—scoring forgotten films to give them new life. This love for nostalgia also fuels my work with Dead Heat Supply Co., the apparel brand I founded. With a focus on vintage-inspired designs, Dead Heat pays homage to classic Americana and the enduring spirit of the past. Whether crafting a film sequence, a song, or a logo, I’m drawn to the art of storytelling—finding the right rhythm, the right style, and the right way to make something truly stand out, all while preserving a sense of timelessness.
